Design Presentation for VKR

For VKR Holding, Rosan Bosch Studio has created an exhibition design for the VKR’s amazing window collection – with an exhibition design that both engages and excites the visitors, “The Window Collection” bring the development and importance of the window through time into focus.

“The Window Collection” is a unique collection of technical, craftsmanship and stylistic examples of the window’s development through time. The visitors are for example guided through a ‘lyre hole’, where it is possible to experience the light through the earliest window in history. In the same way, the ‘time tunnel’ takes the visitors through the history of the window in different rooms that stage the influx of light through different historical windows – from the large mosaics in Sainte-Chapelles to the toplighting and energy window of the present. In an adjacent room, a ‘rooflight promenade’ takes the visitor up under the roof where it is possible to both see and touch different types of roof windows. The exhibition design for the new “Window Collection” gives VKR Holding’s existing collection of historical windows a whole new frame for communication where experience and engagement are in focus. Here, the history of the window cannot only be seen and learned but to an equal extent experienced!
