We are part of the winning team for BørneRiget

Playfully logic is the title of BørneRiget’s winning proposal, the new hospital in Copenhagen for children, teenagers and families under the vision of becoming the best in the world of its kind. Rosan Bosch Studio is delighted to be part of the winning team, leaded by 3XN, together with Arkitema Architects, NIRAS and Arkitekt Kristine Jensens Tegnestue.

The new hospital is shaped as two open hands welcoming play, care and an excellent treatment for all patients. The design places winter gardens close to all individual rooms, which unfold to accommodate the various patients’ needs. According to Anders Danøe, specialist judge, ‘the building has a sculpturally strong appearance and will become and icon for BørneRiget with its playful and inviting mode of expression. It is a building that meets a lot of the user’s many demands and wishes for a building that needs to be clinically efficient and at the same time provide safety for children, adolescents and families. A project that in every way deserves its central location in Copenhagen’s skyline with the headline: The world’s best hospital for children and family, nothing less.’
