How should design educations contribute to the design industry?

Design has in recent years expanded dramatically. As a concept, it has become so bulky that it threatens to include everything except nature. But is it true, that all people touch automatically becomes design? Today Rosan Bosch is to speak during the seminar Design and Education at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts – School of Design. She will encourage to the discussion about the design educations contribution to the design industry in a future perspective.

The seminar is a fantastic opportunity for Rosan Bosch Studio to take part in the debate about design educations in times, where not only shoes and spoons, but also computer programs, welfare, urban planning, marketing, policy and behaviour are designed. Beside the traditional design of physical objects, we find intellectual design, service design and design of experiences. Both public and private organizations are to design processes to renew themselves and their products. This brings new challenges to design educations and design as profession in the future.
