year 2008

On assignment from the City of Copenhagen, a visionary project for a new type of cultural experience has been created. The project, called The Copenhagen Mile, sets out to link the area around the "DGI City" and the "White Meat City" in the western part of Copenhagen's inner city core with the area by the National Museum to the east. "The Copenhagen Mile" will transform this stretch into a new urban attraction. The cultural institutions and businesses located in the vicinity of the mile will be given a chance to launch individual and collaborative initiatives in the public spaces along the mile. This will transform the city core from an area solely dominated by transit and traffic into a cultural destination in itself.
