Together with schmidt hammer lassen architects and Kristine Jensen’s architectural firm, the winning proposal for the new multimedia centre, the future main library, and the new harbour front in the Danish city of Århus was created. The proposal describes a visionary project that creates the perfect setting for the future meeting place for the city and its citizens, setting new standards for libraries. It is a large-scale, groundbreaking project that connects the city and the bay, defining the future Århus. The multimedia centre is scheduled to open late 2014, the harbour front late 2015. The project is supported by Realdania. The winning team consists of schmidt hammer lassen k/s, Architect Kristine Jensens Tegnestue, Alectia, Rosan Bosch & Rune Fjord, and library consultants Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen.
