Designing Spaces that Shape the Way we Learn

Learning environments shape how students think, move, interact, and grow. When architecture is designed around curiosity, well-being, and agency, it becomes an active participant in the learning process rather than a passive backdrop.

This approach has been recognized with three prizes and an honorable mention by the International Design Awards (IDA), celebrating Rosan Bosch Studio’s educational projects that place the learner at the center and use space as an active tool for learning.

The recognized projects include:

GO! BS Klim Op Zandbergen (Belgium)

Why these spaces matter

Across all four projects, the learning environment plays an active role in supporting how students learn each day. When students feel comfortable, inspired, and supported by their surroundings, learning becomes more engaging, inclusive, and effective.

These awards recognize educational spaces that nurture student agency, well-being, and a lasting love of learning. At Rosan Bosch Studio, we are proud to see these schools recognized, as they contribute not only to meaningful learning experiences for students, but also to the wider communities they are part of.
